Join our Medicine, Cardiac and Critical Care team as an Administrative Assistant today! 

As the Ward Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for the provision of administrative, clerical and reception services. In this role, you will be required to work in close proximity to patients and should have a working knowledge of hospital operations and activities. The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously, with minimal supervision.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Administration Manager this role as the Ward Administration Assistant, duties for the role will include:

  • Maintain and update patient Electronic medical records on EMR PAS
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls and dealing with routine patient enquiries
  • Monitoring workflow, prioritising work and meeting deadlines
  • Conveying patient transfer, admission and discharge information to the Central Patient and Bed Manager in a timely manner
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing mail

About you:

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience as a Ward Administrative Assistant/Admin Assistant
  • Experience working in a clinical environment
