We are seeking to fill the following AHP3 Senior Pharmacist ongoing positions within our CALHN Pharmacy Department:

GEMU Senior Pharmacist 1 FTE rotational position

- Hampstead Senior Pharmacist 1.5 FTE positions

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacy professional to take responsibility for the organisation, management, and daily operation of a designated pharmacy area. In this important role, you will deliver a comprehensive and high-level range of pharmacy services, exercising independent and autonomous judgement to provide expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, as well as to medical, nursing, and allied health staff. Your practice will align with hospital and divisional policies, procedures, and the professional standards and guidelines governing pharmacy services.

You will play a crucial role in optimising patient outcomes through the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of pharmaceuticals. By implementing strategies that promote the highest quality use of medicines, you will contribute significantly to the safety, wellbeing, and recovery of patients. About You

You are an experienced and motivated pharmacy professional with a passion for delivering high-quality care, driving service improvements, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • You possess excellent communication, public relations, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail, research capability, and the ability to work independently or under broad guidance.

  • You bring extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and team education skills across professional and non-professional staff.

  • You have proven ability to develop, implement, and lead strategies for improving service delivery, while managing competing priorities in complex healthcare environments.

  • You are professionally and technically competent in pharmacy services, with comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes of practice, standards, and contemporary healthcare principles.
