Are you an experienced Nurse ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to join our dynamic Acute team and play a pivotal role in coordinating patient care delivery within our Health Unit. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of care and outcomes for our patients.

In this leadership position, you will:

  • Oversee patient care delivery for Operating Theatre and Chemotherapy, ensuring continuity and quality while managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Integrate contemporary information and evidence to support decision-making and innovative thinking.
  • Use health service systems to implement quality improvement processes and monitor safety standards.
  • Foster a positive work culture and develop team performance through effective coaching and mentorship.
  • Lead changes in care models and contribute to ongoing education and research to enhance nursing and midwifery practices.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible to hold a current practising certificate.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proven experience in a multidisciplinary team environment, promoting person and family-centred care.
  • At least 3 years of post-registration experience in nursing and/or midwifery practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster staff development and facilitate change management initiatives.
  • Experience in management and leadership roles
  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives.
  • Experience in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
