  • Part time (0.6 FTE) - Term Contract 

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation to Advanced Trainee Chronic Pain will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.

 

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Chronic Pain team as an Advanced Trainee, where you will be responsible for:

  • Provide clinical services of the highest standard to patients referred to the Chronic Pain Unit, ensuring quality care both individually and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Actively participate in the teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students in the clinical setting.
  • Conduct research and clinical audits to support ongoing quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary academic and clinical team under Consultant supervision.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent.
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration
  • Completed RACP Basic Training requirements and progressed to Advanced Training
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff.
  • A commitment to providing a quality service to patients and their families.
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
