We're seeking an experienced Midwife Unit Manager – Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) to join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network and lead with purpose in delivering person-centred, culturally respectful maternity care.

As the pivotal leader of the MGP, you’ll provide clinical and operational direction to ensure safe, high-quality services. Your influence will guide multidisciplinary teams, drive evidence-based practice, and foster a collaborative culture focused on continuity of care and improved health outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate MGP services to deliver exceptional midwifery care.
  • Drive quality improvement, change management, and risk reduction.
  • Manage team performance, resources and service delivery outcomes.
  • Foster learning, clinical development and best practice initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in midwifery practice and team management.
  • Commitment to culturally safe care, especially with Aboriginal communities.
