About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist with a passion for empowering older adults live healthy lives, to join our Northern Adelaide Geriatric Service.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will form part of the Geriatrics in the Home (GITH) multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for providing Occupational Therapy for consumers within the community setting implementing evidence-based interventions to enhance functional independence, improve quality of life and promote successful ageing. You will also work alongside those with Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) on their transition into Residential Aged Care Homes, by contributing to comprehensive assessment and implementation of the behaviour support plans and sensory modulation strategies. 

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the well-being of our geriatric community. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care and support to older adults in their homes, residential care facilities and community settings.

In this role, you will support less experienced Occupational Therapists, students and allied health assistants.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
