The Floor Coordinator – Help Desk and Rostering plays a pivotal role as the central contact point for Hotel Services, efficiently handling and resolving requests related to personnel, cleaning, patient flow, food, and contracted services. This role is tasked with the crucial responsibility of coordinating rosters, managing general human resources, and overseeing work routines, methods, and allocation to ensure high-quality work and service delivery, ultimately contributing to positive patient outcomes. It is a multifaceted position that requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to seamlessly manage various operational aspects of the healthcare facility.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager, Hotel Services, some of your duties as the Floor Coordinator - Help Desk may involve:

  • Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources.
  • Setting standards of work, inspecting and ensuring that the quality of work performed by subordinate staff is of an appropriate standard.
  • Manage the resolution of help desk requests received to the dedicated phone number in a timely manner through effective communication and coordination.

About you:

  • Experience with rostering principles
  • Experience in the training and development of staff in a health care setting
  • Experience in producing data reports and written submissions
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to apply these principles in a patient support services environment
  • Ability to effectively promote a culture of respect and courtesy
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels
