About the Role

As a Nurse Educator (Level 3), you will play a vital role in supporting and advancing nursing practice through education, mentorship, and clinical leadership. Drawing on your extensive clinical knowledge and experience, you will design and deliver meaningful learning experiences, develop educational resources, and support systems that enhance knowledge access. You will work closely with clinicians to guide local teaching efforts and ensure the continuous professional development of nursing staff.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to shape education across various settings, whether by supporting specific wards, services or community programs, leading education portfolios, or managing key projects and research initiatives. You will be accountable for your own professional standards, contribute to the growth of less experienced staff, and take ownership of designated portfolios. If you’re passionate about making a positive impact on nursing education and service delivery, this is the role for you.

You are a dedicated and experienced nursing or midwifery professional with a passion for leadership, team collaboration, and continuous service improvement. Your clinical expertise is matched by your ability to inspire and guide others, drive positive change, and maintain high standards of care.

  • Qualified and Registered – You are registered (or eligible for registration) with the Nursing of Australia and hold, or can obtain, a current practising certificate.

  • Experienced and Skilled Leader – You bring at least 3 years of post-registration experience, along with a strong track record in nursing/midwifery leadership, staff development, and mentoring.

  • Collaborative and Person-Centred – You excel in multidisciplinary teamwork, consumer engagement, and reviewing care models to support person- and family-centred practice.
