The Patient Services Clerk is responsible for the provisional registration of all overnight and day inpatients, planned and unplanned patient activity and the provision of a high quality, confidential, customer focused administrative service to clients, staff and visitors for the Yorke & Northern LHN at Clare Hospital.

  • Shift work - Rotating 7 (seven) day - 24 hr. roster coverage. Working autonomously on shifts.
  • Responsible for the provision registration of Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency activity.
  • Provision of an accurate and timely data processing of Outpatient and Emergency data
  • Provision of a high quality, confidential; customer focused administrative service to clients, staff and visitors for the Yorke and Northern LHN
  • Delivery of a switchboard service to Health Unit and Community Health
  • Filing and scanning of client information within medical case notes and collating of medical case notes on discharge of clients from the health service
  • Patient Services is a rotating team - requirement to be effective and proficient in all aspects of the Patient Services Department duties
