About the role

Join SA Health’s Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network as an Occupational Therapist supporting consumers across rural and remote South Australia. Based in the Adelaide CBD, you’ll be part of a specialist team focused on delivering recovery-oriented, culturally responsive mental health care.

Who are we looking for?

  • You must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and be eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist in Australia.
  • Core mental health skills and knowledge essential to offering a quality and safe mental health service to consumers with a severe and enduring mental illness within a multidisciplinary context.
  • You will demonstrate a commitment to applying consumer-centred practice and community engagement principles in the provision of services, ensuring consumers are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people both verbally and in writing.

You will apply your clinical knowledge to support consumers, carers and families across diverse settings. Your role will include:

  • Providing assessment, intervention and recovery-focused care

  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Supporting early intervention and education strategies

  • Contributing to service planning and evaluation

  • Supervising students and less experienced staff
