About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gynaecology Senior Registrar to contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical care within our Gynaecology Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day inpatient and outpatient care under the supervision of nominated consultants, while ensuring clinical excellence is maintained across the team. You will also play a vital role in supporting and guiding Registrars and Resident Medical Officers, promoting a culture of professionalism, learning, and safe clinical practice.

Your responsibilities will include participating in the after-hours on-call roster and contributing to quality assurance through the organisation and implementation of clinical review programs. Reporting directly to the Director of Gynaecology, you will be expected to maintain high standards of care and support continuous improvement initiatives through regular clinical reporting and oversight.

About You

You are a qualified medical practitioner with demonstrated clinical competence and a strong foundation in gynaecological practice. Your commitment to patient-centred care, sound procedural skills, and collaborative mindset equip you to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Hold a Bachelor of Medicine (or equivalent) and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.

  • Possess relevant post-graduate experience and gynaecological surgical skills appropriate to the role.

  • Display strong communication, decision-making, and ward-based procedural skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of current medical practice, treatment protocols, and Work Health & Safety principles.
