About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Vitreo-Retina Fellow to join our Ophthalmology team at Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to both inpatient and outpatient patients under the guidance of experienced consultants. You will play an integral part in delivering exceptional patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical decision-making in the vitreo-retina specialty.

As a Vitreo-Retina Fellow, you will also support junior medical staff, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice and fostering a positive learning environment. You will have the opportunity to enhance your clinical and teaching skills through active participation in departmental teaching and training programs. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise in vitreo-retina while contributing to the education of the next generation of medical professionals.

About You

You are a dedicated and compassionate medical professional with a commitment to high standards of care and continuous improvement. Your ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and effectively communicate ensures the best patient outcomes.

  • MBBS or equivalent, registerable with AHPRA

  • High clinical practice standards with a focus on quality improvement

  • Experience supervising and teaching junior medical staff

  • Strong understanding of patient rights, professional integrity, and adaptability
