This is your chance to be part of a new patient focussed service that prioritises recovery and the delivery of best-practice, trauma-informed care in a brand new 24-bed building. About the Role

Are you a passionate and experienced Allied Health Professional (AHP4) or Registered Nurse (RN4) ready to lead a dedicated team in delivering innovative and recovery-oriented mental health rehabilitation?

As the Team Manager of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network’s (CALHN) 24-Bed Inpatient Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (IMHRU), you will provide dynamic operational leadership and coordination of a multidisciplinary team delivering contemporary, evidence-based rehabilitation services. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting consumer recovery and wellbeing through a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach. You will champion a whole systems philosophy of care that fosters independence, skill development, and community integration, while ensuring high-quality, recovery-focused clinical practice. Working closely with consumers, the Lived Experience workforce, and other mental health services, you will drive a culture of excellence, inclusion, and positive consumer outcomes.

For more information about the role, and essential educational/vocational qualifications that may be required, please refer to the AHP4 and RN4 role descriptions.

About You

You’re a dedicated and experienced mental health professional who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about driving high-quality, consumer-centred care. With a strong foundation in either Allied Health or Nursing, you bring a collaborative approach, deep clinical knowledge, and a commitment to recovery-focused mental health services.

  • You hold appropriate professional qualifications and registration, either as a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Mental Health Nurse (AHPRA registered), with demonstrated experience in complex mental health settings.
  • You have a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex service systems, and guiding operational policy, planning, and service development initiatives.
  • Your leadership is defined by strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to inspire and support others, and the capacity to manage change, resolve conflict, and build effective partnerships.
  • You possess a comprehensive understanding of recovery and rehabilitation frameworks, current mental health reforms, and relevant legislation, including Work Health and Safety and risk management standards.

If you are passionate about making a difference in mental health rehabilitation, we’d love to hear from you!
