Join Our Team: Facilities Officer – Keeping Our Health Spaces Safe and Functional!

Looking for a hands-on role where every day brings something different? We’re seeking a dependable and proactive Facilities Officer to help keep our hospitals running smoothly and safely - supporting both Gumeracha District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and Mount Pleasant Hospital.

This is a fulfilling role that brings variety, purpose and connection to your day. From maintenance and repairs to helping create a clean, safe and welcoming environment, you’ll play a vital part in supporting patient care behind the scenes.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out general maintenance tasks - minor carpentry, painting, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
  • Keep hospital spaces clean and safe by collecting rubbish and removing dirty linen.
  • Maintain hospital grounds and gardens to ensure outdoor areas are tidy and hazard-free.
  • Clean and maintain hospital fleet vehicles to support staff and service delivery.
  • Contribute to a positive environment for patients, visitors and staff through your work every day.
