About the Role

In a training capacity, you will contribute to the provision of a Pain Medicine Service within the objectives and philosophies of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists ( (FPMANZCA),  with a commitment to clinical teaching and research portfolios. Working under Consultant supervision, you will provide a comprehensive, effective, efficient and safe clinical pain medicine service to hospital patients. This will involve adhering to departmental policies, protocols and procedures that ensure the provision of clinically acceptable pain medicine practices, and participating in clinical review and quality assurance programs to monitor and maintain standards of practice.
 
You will need to be eligible to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia, and hold a suitable postgraduate qualification for advanced training in pain medicine. Demonstrating clinical experience appropriate to your year of training, you will be enthusiastic in your participation in all Department professional activities. You will work well as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst retaining a primary focus on the provision of patient care, and demonstrate an ability to liaise with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.   • Vocationally qualified and eligible for registration with the SA Medical Board, with postgraduate training in pain medicine.

  • Clinically experienced and knowledgeable in accordance with the FPM ANZCA curricula, with a clear understanding of relevant clinical standards and procedures.

  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and written skills, and the ability to work effectively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

  • Committed professional who demonstrates enthusiasm for departmental activities, ongoing learning, and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
