  • Six or twelve month contracts available 

Duration of the training program:  6 or 12 months 

Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.

About the Role

We're seeking passionate and dedicated medical professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality Endocrine and Diabetes services across the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). This role plays a pivotal part in delivering comprehensive care to patients across multiple CALHN sites, ensuring excellence in inpatient and ambulatory services. Working within the frameworks and philosophies of CALHN and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), you'll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team focused on improving outcomes for people with diabetes and other endocrine conditions.

About You

You're a dedicated and compassionate medical professional who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment. You bring a strong foundation in clinical medicine, a commitment to continuous learning, and a patient-centred approach to care.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Recognised medical qualifications, including an MBBS (or equivalent) and General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia, along with a pass in the FRACP Part I examinations (written and clinical).

  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience relevant to your level of training, with a sound understanding of medical standards, patient rights, and medico-legal responsibilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully within a multidisciplinary team, take feedback constructively, and acknowledge professional limitations.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, paired with integrity, adaptability, and a commitment to safe practice and continuous quality improvement.
