We are seeking a Direct Care Worker to deliver compassionate, client-centered care to elderly, frail, or disabled individuals who wish to remain living safely and comfortably in their own homes. About the Role:

As a Direct Care Worker - Community, you provide hands-on support to elderly, frail, or disabled clients wishing to live independently at home. Reporting to the Community Care Coordinator, you work closely with Community Health professionals in a multidisciplinary team to assist with daily living activities and personal care. You are responsible for delivering safe, respectful, and client-centered care in line with care plans, supporting clients’ wellbeing and independence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position and at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.
  • Completed at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
     
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
     
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
     
  • Experience in the use of computer packages eg. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 30 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
