Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist (AHP3) to join the Adelaide Hills Community Health team. This position is based in either Mt Barker or Mt Pleasant, with the expectation of supporting services across both sites, delivering client-centred physiotherapy care in a rural setting.

About the Role

The AHP3 Senior Physiotherapist is a clinically skilled and autonomous practitioner who provides leadership, mentoring, and direct care within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves delivering community-based physiotherapy services through BHFLHN’s Out of Hospital and Community Health programs, while contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives across the network.

You will:

  • Deliver specialised physiotherapy services, independently managing complex cases.

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring to less experienced staff and students.

  • Support workforce development, research, and service improvement.

  • Engage with diverse consumer groups, with a focus on Aboriginal and vulnerable populations.

  • Participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary care planning.

About You

You are a reflective practitioner and a clinical leader, passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care. You will bring:

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.

  • Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

  • Eligibility for full membership with the professional association.

  • Clinical experience in community, rural, or multidisciplinary environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel between Mt Barker and Mt Pleasant.

Desirable:

  • Experience supervising staff or students.

  • Knowledge of the unique needs of rural and Aboriginal communities.

  • Involvement in quality improvement, research, or service redesign.
