About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an experienced Stomal Therapy Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Consultant.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As a Stomal Therapy Nurse Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice, education and support to patients, their families and healthcare professionals in the field of stomal therapy. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • assess, plan, implement and evaluate stomal therapy nursing care for patients with ostomies, wounds and continence issues
  • collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care
  • provide education and training to patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals on stomal therapy management
  • participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to stomal therapy nursing
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

This role works over a 7 day roster, working every 2nd weekend.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
