    • $36.14 - $37.74 per hour | 25% Casual Loading | WHD5 
    • $34.59 - $36.36 per hour | 25% Casual Loading | WHD4 
    • $14.80 - $34.80 per hour | 25% Casual Loading | WHD3 

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a WHD5, WHD4 or WHD3, the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

About the Role:

At Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network (FUNLHN), we use a Consumer Directed Care model that gives individuals real choice and control over their aged care, disability, and support services.

As a Community Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised support to help people live independently at home or in Residential Aged Care.  Your work may include personal care, domestic tasks, meal preparation, transport, and social support—always tailored to each person’s needs and preferences.

This role suits someone flexible, empathetic, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.  You’ll build meaningful relationships and play an important part in helping people maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.  Join us and be part of a compassionate, consumer‑focused team.

 

About You:

WHD5

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position and at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of a direct care services in a health related filed.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled person.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.

WHD4

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care services in a health related filed.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled person.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under limited direction.

WHD3

  • Have proven ability to work well with in a team environment.
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform routine functions under clear and straight forward instruction and follow verbal, written or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Possess patience, flexibility, resilience and a solution focussed approach.
  • Hold a current drivers' licence and willingness to drive.
  • Be contactable by telephone.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances).
