About the role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) within BreastScreen SA, you will play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, client-centred nursing care throughout a woman’s breast screening and assessment journey. From initial contact through to clinical follow-up, you will provide information, education, and support to clients undergoing investigation for screen-detected abnormalities. Working in a dedicated, multidisciplinary environment, your clinical experience and leadership will contribute significantly to ensuring women receive high-quality, timely care and support.

In addition to your clinical duties, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to support day-to-day operations, including staffing, rostering, recruitment, and implementing practice improvements. You will also lead assigned portfolios aimed at enhancing service delivery, promoting continuity of care, and guiding less experienced staff. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your nursing expertise in a public health setting with a meaningful population impact.

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and adaptable nursing professional with a strong foundation in clinical practice and leadership. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be essential to supporting clients and colleagues across a complex screening program.
