About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse – Correctional Health to lead and coordinate high-quality patient care within a correctional environment. In this pivotal role, you will apply your clinical expertise to oversee the delivery of care, ensuring that all team members operate cohesively to achieve optimal outcomes for patients in a unique and challenging setting.

As the senior clinician, you will be accountable for the clinical standards and multidisciplinary collaboration within your area, actively promoting a culture of safety, consistency, and continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in aligning practice with policy, mentoring staff, and building a team-oriented work environment that upholds the dignity and wellbeing of every patient.

About You

You are a registered nursing or midwifery professional with strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to safe, person-centred care. With a background in clinical coordination and team development, you thrive in multidisciplinary settings and bring a proactive, improvement-focused mindset to every aspect of your work.

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with proven ability to manage change, mentor staff, and enhance care models.

  • Experience in clinical supervision, team coordination, and facilitating consumer engagement across complex care environments.

  • Sound knowledge of safety legislation, risk management frameworks, and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
