Forging Excellence in Healthcare: Associate Nurse Unit Manager Position in SALHN's Vascular Hybrid Suite

This pivotal Associate Nurse Unit Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support our exceptional nursing team within the cutting-edge Vascular Hybrid Suite. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure efficient workflow and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. 

About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role will be involved in overseeing the daily operations, managing a team of skilled nurses, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining clinical excellence, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Duties for the role will include:

  • Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area,
  • Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager and Nurse/Midwife Educators to maintain a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning,
  • Act to resolve local and/or immediate nursing/midwifery care or service delivery problems

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience,
  • Demonstrated competence in scrub/scout perioperative nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards,
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
