About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scientist to join our dedicated team, bringing advanced technical expertise and a strong commitment to diagnostic excellence. In this role, you will provide professional services across a variety of client settings, utilising your specialised scientific knowledge to perform, analyse, and troubleshoot complex diagnostic procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality outcomes through the application of sophisticated laboratory techniques and evidence-based practices.

As a Medical Scientist, you will exercise sound professional judgement in selecting and applying both established and emerging methodologies. You will also be responsible for supervising and validating Quality Control processes under the direction of management. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise through ongoing professional development while contributing to improved patient care through scientific precision and clinical collaboration.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong scientific expertise, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to laboratory practice. You’ll be comfortable working independently, applying your technical knowledge under pressure, and delivering high-quality results while supporting team cohesion and customer-focused service.

  • Hold an AQF level 7 pathology-related degree (or recognised equivalent) as defined under NPAAC supervision requirements.

  • Demonstrate strong diagnostic testing ability, with expertise in troubleshooting equipment and maintaining quality assurance procedures.

  • Possess high-level communication skills and proven experience in software use, general laboratory operations, and confidential data handling.

  • Bring a deep understanding of scientific principles, pathology processes, and laboratory quality systems in a clinical setting.
