About the role: 

 Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Managing a psychology case load of clients with complex psychological disorders where clinical psychology is the primary service being provided
  • Contributing to the development of individual multidisciplinary care plans for consumers
  • Participating in peer review and quality assurance procedures for psychologists within the region
  • Planning and providing specialist treatment programs for complex psychological disorders. These may include cognitive and behavioural therapies, in group and individual formats
  • Contributing to the supervision of postgraduate psychology students

About you:

  • Experience working within a community mental health team for older adults
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary team environment in health, mental health or aged care
  • Experience in the application of a range of evidence based psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with consumers and carers in a socially and culturally relevant manner
  • Demonstrated ability working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of disciplines
