About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and service-focused Pantry Hand to join our team at Glenside Health Services. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pantry services across various units within the facility and associated institutions. Working under the direction of the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will support the smooth operation of food service functions in accordance with health and safety standards and the South Australian Government Health Ancillary Employees Award.

Your duties may include preparing and distributing meals and refreshments, maintaining pantry cleanliness and hygiene, and assisting with stock control. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing support that contributes to the overall wellbeing and comfort of patients and staff alike.

About You

You are a dependable and hardworking individual with a strong sense of teamwork and a commitment to delivering high-quality pantry services in a healthcare setting. You follow procedures with care, communicate effectively, and uphold hygiene and safety standards in all tasks.

  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and responsive approach to changing work demands.

  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to follow established procedures and interact respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Experience in food preparation, ideally within a hospital or healthcare environment, with an understanding of safe food handling practices.

  • Awareness of hygiene standards, safety procedures, and a willingness to work across various service areas as required.
