About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager (Operationally) and the Principal Clinical psychologist (Professionally), some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership to the team to incorporate recovery focussed psychosocial and contemporary approaches / models into practice
  • Providing professional supervision to other Psychologists.
  • Providing discipline specific assessment, risk assessment, diagnosis and treatment/interventions to enhance patients’ psychological well-being
  • Undertaking individual caseloads including specialised and complex issues commensurate with Senior Clinical Psychology responsibilities
  • Acting as a professional consultant for other non-psychology staff members and service providers in relation to clinical psychology matters

About you:

  • The delivery of a range of evidence-based clinical activities, including complex and comprehensive mental health and psychosocial assessments, treatment and care planning, therapeutic interventions, advocacy and liaison with other community service providers
  • Working collaboratively with patients, their family/carers, and leading and promoting patient and carer engagement initiatives
  • Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Contributing to the development of service aims and objectives, research and evaluation
  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision, and sharing psychological expertise within mental health care settings
