At Hammill House, part of Port Pirie Regional Health Service, we’re seeking a dynamic Nurse Unit Manager – Aged Care to champion quality care and lead a passionate multidisciplinary team. As the pivotal leader within our residential aged care team, you’ll drive excellence in clinical care, manage resources effectively, and embed a culture of safety, compassion and continuous improvement—all aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team

  • Oversee clinical care delivery, documentation and risk management

  • Drive quality improvement, safety, and compliance

  • Foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners

  • Champion consumer engagement and family-centred care

  • Manage resources, recruitment, rostering and staff development

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. 

  • At least 3 years’ post-registration nursing experience

  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proven experience in aged care and team supervision

  • Knowledge of aged care legislation, standards and reporting

  • Tech-savvy with systems like LeeCare and Microsoft Office
