About the role

As a Nuclear Medicine Fellow, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services. Working under supervision, you will support the safe and effective application of nuclear imaging and treatments, contributing to patient-centred care across a range of clinical presentations. This role offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology, exposure to a wide case mix, and the opportunity to collaborate closely with experienced specialists and multidisciplinary teams.

You will also undertake meaningful research while progressively developing advanced nuclear medicine competencies. This position is ideally suited for a motivated clinician seeking to broaden their expertise and pursue academic contributions in the field. In return, you will gain in-depth, practical knowledge and specialist training in a supportive teaching environment committed to professional growth.

About You

You are a committed medical professional with the required qualifications and a strong interest in nuclear medicine. You demonstrate initiative, technical aptitude, and a collaborative approach to patient care and clinical learning. You are eager to develop specialist expertise in a teaching environment that values both service delivery and academic growth.

  • Possess a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia (General or Specialist).

  • Completion of RACP Basic Training (including exams) or RANZCR Part II and project requirements, where applicable.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound communication and procedural skills relevant to nuclear medicine practice.

  • Familiarity with computer systems and foundational medical training, particularly in Internal Medicine or Radiology, with a willingness to build expertise.
