About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Network Operations Centre team as a Emergency Management Operations & Training Officer, where you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, leading and coordinating the implementation of training and education programs for staff involved in emergency responses (including fire and security management) and business continuity.
  • Developing training resources for effective training delivery across the network relating to Emergency Management.
  • Reviewing training feedback and making adjustments as needed to ensure an effective learning experience.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of instructional programs by tracking outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Planning, leading and coordinating testing and evaluation of procedures, plans and responses in line with statutory and accreditation requirements.
  • Formulating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating Emergency Management policies and procedures.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including expertise in preparing written reports and recommendations and influencing and negotiating with a diverse range of key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction, exercise autonomy in determining methods/approaches and taking responsibility for outcomes within broad parameters.
  • Significant experience in using contemporary project management principles in leading, planning, developing and coordinating concurrent emergency response projects, programs and / or other business continuity planning activities within time and budget constraints.
  • Significant experience in performing an advisory and education role including engagement, collaboration and consultation with staff, management and a range of diverse key stakeholders and the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of targeted training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and review of policies and procedures.
