Are you ready to shape exceptional, patient-centred cancer services in a vibrant regional health network? Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service invites a visionary Head of Cancer Services and Consultant Oncologist to lead, innovate and inspire across Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN).

Your Role:
You’ll drive the development and delivery of sustainable, integrated cancer care models, ensuring the highest clinical standards and fostering a culture of teamwork, teaching, and continuous improvement. Lead a multidisciplinary team, influence health service strategy, and champion research and education initiatives that directly impact patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and expert oncology care

  • Oversee service quality, policy compliance, and patient safety

  • Collaborate across medical, allied health, and community sectors

  • Mentor and support junior staff and trainees

  • Drive continuous service improvement and research participation

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or equivalent), with appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration

  • Proven leadership in cancer services and clinical excellence

  • Commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork and quality care

  • Experience in teaching, research, and service innovation

  • Integrity, adaptability, and strong communication skills
