About the Role

Join a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with renal disease and renal failure. As a Clinical Fellow in Nephrology with the Central Northern Adelaide Renal and Transplantation Service (CNARTS), you will provide care at a junior consultant level, managing patients requiring dialysis and transplantation. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your expertise in a specialised area of nephrology, such as transplantation or dialysis, while working alongside experienced consultants in a multidisciplinary environment.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will engage in high-level research projects in collaboration with senior nephrologists, contributing to advancements in renal medicine. Your role will also include active involvement in the education and training of medical students and junior doctors, fostering the next generation of nephrology specialists. This position is ideal for a motivated clinician seeking to refine their skills, expand their research portfolio, and make a meaningful impact in patient care within a leading renal service.

In 2026-27, the CNARTS leadership have strategically determined this position is to be targeted towards an international nephrologist from a region where CNARTS team members are deeply involved in capacity building and strengthening of bi-directional academic and clinical relationships. The applicant will have qualifications suitable for equivalency with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and meet APHRA registration requirements for nephrology practice. The applicant will have connected with CNARTS via the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) International Fellowship program process and will have submitted an application to the ISN Fellowship program to work for 1 year in CNARTS. Applicants who have not undertaken this process will not be accepted. The role involves full participation as a clinical Fellow in CNARTS, including direct clinical care, academic project work, and educational activities as outlined in the ISN Fellowship application.
