  • Multiple Permanent Full-time & Part-time positions available (part time hours to be negotiated), working over a 7-day roster

WHAT IS THIS ROLE?

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Health Network is looking for caring, compassionate people to take up a number of permanent full-time and part-time positions within our residential care homes in Strathalbyn.  Be paid to work alongside our Strathalbyn community whilst enjoying the picturesque environment and opportunities to step out and be a tourist in your own workplace, whilst still only being a short distance from the Adelaide CBD!

Contribute to our community by supporting our clients and consumers to feel settled so it “feels like home”.    To do this, you will be working in a team to provide a range of caring duties which offer residents a safe and secure environment with exceptional quality of care.  The roles you perform to support this are as wide and diverse as the clients we care for, please refer to the Role Description for more details.

WHAT SKILLS WILL MAKE YOU A SUCCESS?

Using the learning you have acquired through the completion of a Certificate III in a health-related discipline to support the experience you have working with aged care clients, you will:

  • work autonomously and use your initiative to problem solve
  • use your exceptional communication skills to work closely with clients and their families to achieve
  • demonstrate high levels of empathy towards the residents you care for through the development of rapport which creates a relationship built on trust 

You will have completed the AQF Certificate III relevant to the position and have experience working with aged care clients. Demonstrating the ability to perform under limited direction, you will work well within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Along with a commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality, you will display empathy towards the elderly and be willing to develop a positive rapport with residents and their families.
