About the role: 

As a Floor Coordinator, you will pay a vital role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital. Reporting to the Hospital's Hotel Services Manager, you’ll provide frontline supervision of cleaning teams while also supporting food services, portering and orderlies. 

Working collaboratively with Nursing, Allied Health and HR teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting staff through on-the-job training, performance monitoring and task coordination.
  • Managing staff rosters, managing leave and certifying timesheets to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assisting with budget preparation, resource monitoring, and reporting.
  • Leading staff instruction on safe work routines, methods, and quality standards.
  • Contributing to a 7 day roster, including weekends shifts.

About you:

We're seeking someone who brings strong leadership and coordination skills, along with:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and foster a positive team environment.
  • Preferable experience working in a healthcare or knowledge working within a large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control standards and cleaning protocols.
  • High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflict effectively.
  • Experience using basic computer applications, including email and word processing.
