About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated and collaborative Anaesthesia Medical Practitioner to join our dynamic Anaesthesia team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH). In this vital role, you’ll provide high-quality anaesthetic care to patients across a broad clinical spectrum, working closely with Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring safe and effective perioperative care, while upholding the highest standards of clinical practice within the department.

You’ll also play a key part in advancing continuous quality improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence. With a strong commitment to clinical teaching, you’ll support the development of junior medical staff and contribute meaningfully to the educational environment. About You

You’re a motivated and compassionate medical professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality anaesthetic care and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia, along with appropriate post-graduate clinical experience, including a minimum of 6 months in Anaesthesia, and working towards the ANZCA primary examination.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams and liaise respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds.

  • A demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care, clinical excellence, and continuous professional development in line with current standards and best practices.

  • A proactive, adaptable mindset, showing enthusiasm for departmental activities, openness to feedback and change, and a cooperative approach to teamwork and service delivery.
