About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Yarrow Place team as an Allied Health Assistant – Social Work, where you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to quality consumer-centred care in line with WCHN Values by performing tasks consistent with approved clinical policies, procedures, and protocols within the Social Work Team.
  • Assisting with organising and planning external services based on consumer and organisational needs, as directed by the allocated Social Worker.
  • Assisting with organising activities and workshops conducted by the Social Work Team to improve consumer and organisational outcomes.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely service delivery that meets consumer needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Possess or be willing to undertake a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or hold or obtain training in an equivalent area of study OR hold relevant experience equivalent to Cert III training.
  • Ability to use your initiative and prioritise your work
  • Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timelines are met
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy and a trauma informed approach when dealing with external consumers
  • Experience working with consumers and stakeholders, often with complex needs
  • Experience in working in teams to achieve good outcomes for consumers
