About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Orthopaedics team as a Senior Physiotherapist, where you will:

  • Provide specialised, evidence-based physiotherapy for children with complex orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Offer clinical leadership across paediatric specialty areas including Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Rheumatology, Haematology, Rehabilitation, and Neonatology.
  • Lead and support service improvement initiatives within the Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Unit.
  • Design, conduct, and evaluate research projects relevant to paediatric physiotherapy practice.
  • Drive innovation and quality care through evidence-informed clinical practice.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Degree or other qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide specialised clinical skills in the evidence-based physiotherapy management of complex paediatric orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including congenital orthopaedics, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, burns, plastics, rheumatology, haematology and lymphoedema.
  •  Highly developed effective communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of staff and consumers on sensitive and complex issues.
  • Capability to work autonomously to balance competing demands and priorities, demonstrating resilience, composure, and resolve.
  • Minimum 5 years of paediatric orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, burns, plastics, rheumatology, haematological and lymphoedema physiotherapy clinical experience in an acute health setting
