About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Senior Social Worker, where you will be responsible for:

  • Provide expert clinical care to parents, infants, and families experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Deliver advanced social work services within a multidisciplinary and interagency team.
  • Offer clinical leadership and supervision to social work staff within or across teams.
  • Support families with complex social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Lead service quality and safety improvements aligned with community needs.
  • Collaborate with allied health, nursing, medical staff, and leadership to enhance service delivery.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Recognition by the AASW as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
  • Work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.  Communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Demonstrated ability in perinatal and infant mental health assessments and management, with an understanding of complex problems using a biopsychosocial approach.
  • Experience in the delivery of perinatal and infant mental assessment.
  • Experience in the area of clinical supervision.
