About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Chronic Pain team as a Co-Service Lead, where you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the statewide Paediatric Chronic Pain Service, responsible for planning, delivery, and evaluation to ensure high-quality care for young people.
  • Develop and coordinate services across acute, tertiary, and community settings, working with specialties such as gastroenterology, neurology, and oncology.
  • Work closely with CEIH, health networks, government and non-government agencies to build a cohesive, statewide chronic pain care model of care excellence.
  • Oversee research, data analysis, and service evaluation to guide evidence-based policy, strategy, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote expert teaching, innovative education programs, and strategic partnerships with universities and consumers to deliver world-class care.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia within an Endorsed Areas of Practice – Clinical/Health
  • Must hold approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).
  • Proven leadership and management skills including high level strategic and organisational skills, decision making, negotiation and conflict resolution.  
  • Exceptional skills in communication (verbal and written), and teamwork and a significant capacity to present concepts clearly and concisely, provide expert specialist advice and consultancy to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  •  Demonstrated ability to apply a high degree of attention detail and original thinking to identify, analyse and tailor insights for stakeholders, provide expert advice and consultancy, and negotiate successful outcomes and meet strict deadlines in an environment of continual change and growth.
