WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

Mount Barker Hospital is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to join our team. In this vital support role, you’ll assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of our buildings and grounds - helping ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real difference every day.

Please note:

  • The role works across a 7-day roster, including weekends.
  • Participation in the after-hours Facilities On-Call roster is required.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Carry out general facility and grounds maintenance, including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical tasks, and rubbish collection
  • Assist with ordering, storing, and issuing supplies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently, including tractors, watering systems, and power tools
  • Contribute to a safe, positive work environment and support a culture of continuous improvement
