Overview:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate evidence based public health policies, programs and approaches with a focus on decreasing physical inactivity across the South Australian population.
  • Work with and provide expert population health consultancy services to State government departments, local government, the non-government sector, research institutions and private enterprises to support improved population health outcomes, with a focus on decreasing physical inactivity at State, regional and local levels.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships across State government departments, local government, the non-government sector, research institutions and private enterprises to progress public health priorities in relation to reducing physical inactivity.
  • Provide expert population health input and advice to public health policies, programs, procedures to meet the objectives of the South Australian Public Health Act, 2011, the State Public Health Plan, Preventive Health SA strategic objectives and key health strategies.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
