About the Role

As an AHP1 New Graduate Physiotherapist within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across renowned facilities including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and Repat Health Precinct. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to patient recovery and wellbeing, utilising your clinical skills to make a real difference in diverse and dynamic healthcare settings.

You will also be an integral part of the Physiotherapy discipline’s ongoing educational programs, quality improvement initiatives, and service planning activities. Through collaboration and continuous professional development, you’ll help drive innovation and enhance clinical outcomes for our patients, while growing your own expertise in a supportive and multidisciplinary environment. CALHN Physiotherapy New Graduate Program

The CALHN Physiotherapy department 12- month new graduate program offers an exciting opportunity for new graduates to rotate through multiple clinical areas and settings across the CALHN sites, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre & the Repat Health Precinct. This program provides recently graduated physiotherapists exposure and experience across a broad variety of clinical areas such as acute inpatients, inpatient rehabilitation, the subacute setting and ambulatory settings, in a highly supported and well- structured environment that fosters professional growth and confidence. 

About You

You are a motivated and compassionate physiotherapist with the skills, adaptability and clinical knowledge to thrive in a busy hospital setting. Your commitment to patient-centred care, teamwork and professional growth makes you a strong fit for this important role.

  • Qualified and registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia, with a sound understanding of clinical best practice and commitment to safe, effective care.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively and ethically across multidisciplinary teams and diverse patient groups.

  • Physically capable and reliable, with the flexibility to meet manual handling demands and contribute to 7-day service delivery, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Organised and proactive, with good time management, accurate record-keeping skills, and a willingness to learn, develop and respond to feedback in a clinical environment.
