About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Nurse Consultant - Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Services, where you will be responsible for:
  • Providing expert clinical care and leadership in perinatal and infant mental health services.
  • Assessing, planning, and coordinating client-centred care with independent clinical decision-making.
  • Leading multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure culturally sensitive, equitable mental health services.
  • Promoting access and equity of services for people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Driving quality improvement through education, practice guideline development, and service evaluation.
  • Fostering a positive, safe work environment promoting learning, innovation, and team wellbeing.
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Registered Nurse (or eligible) with current practicing certificate and mental health qualification or enrolment.
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in mental health nursing, preferably perinatal focus.
  • Proven expertise in risk assessment and management of women with perinatal mental health issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff development, change management, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide education and clinical supervision to nurses, midwives, and students.
  • Effective communicator with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills in complex care settings.
