Are you an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant looking to join a highly experienced interdisciplinary Allied Health team? 

This full-time, ongoing position offers the chance to work alongside experienced allied health professionals in a collaborative environment. You'll support patient care delivery across various disciplines, contributing to improved health outcomes for our Southern Adelaide community. The role provides excellent exposure to diverse clinical areas and professional development opportunities within our expanding health network.

About the role:  

  • Provide support by assisting with patient assessments, implementing treatment plans, and helping deliver programs tailored to individual needs
  • Facilitate a high-quality diverse activity program for older people with Dementia where there are multiple complexities, cognitive behaviours and diverse cultural backgrounds. The program provides a mix of physical, social, cultural, education, entertainment, recreation and diversion
  • Prepare and organise clinical equipment and treatment areas efficiently to ensure a smooth and timely delivery for all patients
  • Deliver group therapy and educational sessions for patients with diverse and complex conditions, under the guidance of allied health professional therapists
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records

About you:  

  • Previous experience working in a health-care setting particularly with older persons and/or persons with cognitive impairment / Dementia
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team
  • Display strong organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and patient support activities
  • Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
