Overview

Are you a compassionate, experienced oncology or palliative care nurse looking for a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer? We are seeking a McGrath Breast Care Nurse to join our dedicated Community Health team in Clare, South Australia.

About the Role

As a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN), you will provide expert clinical care, support, and education to individuals and families navigating the cancer journey. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and under the guidance of the McGrath Model of Care, you will act as a patient advocate and coordinate care across community and hospital settings.

You will be a key leader within our nursing team, helping to develop and evaluate the Breast Care Program and contribute to high-quality, evidence-based cancer care in rural South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualised, compassionate care for people with breast cancer and their families
  • Coordinate care pathways across treatment, recovery, and palliative phases
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other clinical staff
  • Promote cancer awareness and community engagement
  • Ensure data entry and program reporting via the McGrath Nurse Portal

About You

  • Division 1 AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience with at least 3 years in oncology, palliative care, or cancer-specific nursing
  • Postgraduate qualifications in cancer nursing (oncology and/or palliative care)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and advocacy skills
  • Committed to upholding McGrath Foundation values and SA Health standards
