Join Our Team as an Administrative Officer - Consulting Rooms at Mount Gamier and District Health Service!

The Administration Officer plays a vital role in our Consulting Rooms, expertly managing rostering, scheduling, and recording patient appointments for a diverse range of consultants. In this dynamic position, you'll tackle a variety of tasks based on priority, ensuring that our service runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll also be the friendly voice of our team, handling incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism and warmth. Join us in making a meaningful impact on patient care!

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Register patient admissions and outpatient attendances, ensuring accurate record-keeping, identification, and explanation of election choices, including maternity pre-admission details.
  • Address non-urgent inquiries, relay messages to nursing or medical staff, and confirm admissions while facilitating team communication.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly, retrieve medical records as needed, and perform reception duties to maintain good public relations.
  • Notify patients of upcoming appointments via SMS.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confidential Administrative Experience: Proven ability to deliver a confidential, efficient, and effective administrative service.
  • Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated experience in engaging with customers and addressing their needs.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proven track record of managing and resolving conflict situations effectively.
  • Computer Proficiency: Experience using computers and keyboarding skills to perform administrative tasks.
