About the Role

Successful applicants will be employed against a position within People and Culture and may be allocated to support various teams and functions as required. Reporting to your Team Leader, you will provide high-quality, confidential, and timely administrative support across a range of HR activities, contributing to the effective delivery of People and Culture services.

This pool offers a valuable entry point into the People and Culture team, with the opportunity to gain broad exposure and experience across different HR disciplines. It is designed to support future career progression within the division, offering pathways into more advanced roles as you develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic, supportive, and people-focused environment.

About You

You’re an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual looking to kickstart your HR career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You could be a recent graduate, currently studying HR or a related field, or someone with transferable administrative experience looking to move into the HR space. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure across a broad range of HR functions within the SA Public Sector, while developing valuable skills in a collaborative and professional environment.

To build a strong foundation in HR and be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Confidence in communication, strong organisational skills, and a genuine willingness to learn and grow.

  • The ability to work independently or collaboratively, managing multiple priorities with initiative and sound judgement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a readiness to learn HR systems such as PageUp and CHRIS21 if not already familiar.

  • A basic understanding of HR principles and a keen interest in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, and public sector processes.
