About the role

As a Medical Scientist, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services by applying your scientific and technical expertise across a range of routine laboratory techniques. Working as part of a collaborative team within SA Pathology, you will contribute to the planning, execution, analysis and reporting of diagnostic tests, while also assisting in the development and adoption of new techniques and methodologies. With support and supervision, you will have the opportunity to further build your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and innovative environment.

In this role, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally. You will interact daily with colleagues across SA Pathology to manage specimens, tests, results and equipment, as well as communicate directly with clients, clinicians and suppliers to provide accurate and timely information. Your work will support the delivery of safe, effective and reliable pathology services that ultimately improve patient care across South Australia.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and motivated professional who is ready to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Recognised qualifications in medical science or pathology, meeting NPAAC standards.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills to perform and troubleshoot diagnostic testing.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy in a busy laboratory setting.
