Overview

Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with the provision of professional high quality patient care to patients at Coober Pedy Hospital. Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team, you will plan and prioritise your own work program to achieve defined outcomes and exercise judgment when it is required to solve problems arising in your work area.  Under the direction of a registered nurse you will make decisions and take initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within your scope of practice. 

You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. You will have experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Your skills will include the ability to provide person centered- care, prioritise your workload and recognise and report changes in clinical condition, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
