About the Role

Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic and rewarding environment that combines administration, research, and healthcare? We're seeking an experienced, passionate, and organised Administrative Lead (AL) to play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient running of our Respiratory Clinical Trials Unit (RCTU). In this diverse role, you are a core member of the RCTU Management Team, and you’ll lead the Study Support Team while working across  administrative functions—managing daily office administration operations, and ensuring our clinical trials are executed to the highest standard. Your expertise will help guide the recruitment, development and appraisal of staff, overseeing the coordination and delivery of staff training programs including the maintenance of GCP certifications and facilitating ongoing professional development, foster effective communication across the unit, completed all business reports, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation in respiratory health research.

As AL, you’ll take ownership of policy implementation, financial oversight, financial reporting, and key purchasing decisions, while also managing trial-specific activities such as maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures, volunteer recruitment and pre-trial feasibilities. You’ll be a central figure in supporting cutting-edge clinical research that makes a real impact in people’s lives. About You

You’re an experienced and dedicated professional, equipped to lead with integrity and precision in a dynamic clinical trials environment. Your strong leadership skills and knowledge enable you to manage teams, projects, and complex clinical operations while maintaining the rigorous safety and compliance standards.

  • Degree-qualified in Business Administration or Management, Accounting, Health Science/Administration, or related discipline with 3+ years  working in clinical trials

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and strategic planning

  • Exceptional organisational, communication and IT skills with keen attention to detail

  • Sound knowledge of clinical research practices, health policies, and international/local research guidelines
